Preventing Illegal Working Refresher: TWO Online Workshop
This workshop is designed for employers who already have a working knowledge of the prevention of illegal working requirements. Over 2.5 hours, we will explore recent changes to Home Office compliance guidance, including the concept of extended liability and what this means for your right to work checking processes.
We begin by examining the wider context, including the Home Office's enforcement agenda and the sanctions that can arise when illegal working is identified. We then look at the statutory excuse, how it protects employers from civil penalties, and the recent expansion of the compliance regime through extended liability provisions.
The workshop then focuses on the practical steps required to establish and maintain a statutory excuse. We will cover the requirements for each type of right to work check, highlight common compliance pitfalls, and explain how to meet Home Office expectations with confidence.
We intentionally keep our workshops small to encourage discussion, questions, and the sharing of experiences. This interactive approach helps delegates apply the learning to real-life situations and embed the knowledge within their organisation.
