Preventing Illegal Working: Document Verification TWO Online Workshop

This course covers the employment of individuals who do not require formal employer sponsorship. It is therefore relevant to all employers and will help you adhere to your duties of preventing illegal working.

The course looks at the requirements for those who do not require sponsorship: certain EU nationals, dependants and family members, those with ancestry and those who have Indefinite Leave to Remain. We will also look at the employment of students sponsored by a Student Sponsor education provider.

We deliberately keep our workshops small to enable interaction and the opportunity to ask questions and share experience. This helps put the learning points into practice and therefore embed the knowledge.
Our learning points for this session are:
Understand who can work in the UK
Understand the how restrictions have evolved around employing EU citizens & documents you need depending on their start date
Learn which immigration categories include the right to work and any restrictions placed on visa holders
Understand Home Office requirements for ensuring you have the statutory excuse against a penalty
Review the limitations of the statutory excuse
Understand what records you need to keep to prove you have checked right to work
Implications of Brexit & the EU Settlement Scheme on checking right to work
Know the rules for employing non-EU students
Understand how good you have to be at spotting fake documentation
We are super proud of the feedback we receive for our training. Have a look to gauge what you will be signing up for..
